This will help to reduce election-related expenditure, improve governance, and minimize disruptions caused by frequent elections.

In its 2019 election manifesto, the BJP committed to introduce one nation one election scheme.

Concerns 1. In case of failure of governments at different level how elections will be conducted.

2. Will people be able to differentiate between local, state and national issues.

3. One nation one election system goes against the federal structure.
